Sentinel-Std. - Monday, Feb. 23, 1976

Saranac- Mrs. Marcella M. Allen, 84, died Sunday morning at the home of a 
daughter in Saranac.

Born in County Meath, Ireland, March 13, 1891, the daughter of James and 
Catherine Tobin McCLaughlin.

She came to America March 3, 1916, and June 1, 1918, she was married to Alfred 
F. Allen. He died at Hart in 1953.

Since 1954, she had lived with a daughter, Mrs. Eilene Greiner of Saranac. Also 
surviving besides the daughter, Eilene, are another daughter, Mrs. Muriel 
Larson of Ludington; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. 

She was a member of St. Anthony's church in Saranac where services will be 
conducted Tuesday at 10 am. Rev. Fr. Commer of St. Alphonse's church of Grand 
Rapids will officiate and interment will be at the Saranac cemetery.

Rosary will be recited Monday at 8 pm at the Roetman funeral home at Saranac.
