ETHEL ALLERDING DIES UNEXPECTEDLY
Mrs. Ethel Z. Allerding, 75, passed away unexpectedly at her rural home on 
Jackson Rd. Tuesday morning, but following a long period of ill health.

She was born Sept. 19, 1894, in Woodland Township, daughter of Darwin and Ella 
(Filkins) Anspaugh, and was a lifelong resident of the area.

A graduate of the Lake Odessa high School, she attended the Ionia County Normal 
and the Kalamazoo Teachers College and taught in local area schools for 31 
years, retiring about 20 years ago.

She married Donald Allerding May 22, 1945, and he is the only survivor.

Mrs. Allerding reposes at the Pickens Funeral Chapel, where funeral services 
will be held Friday at 7:30, with Rev Ray Houghton officiating. Burial in 
lakeside cemetery.
