Lake Odessa Wave-Thurs. March 9, 1978

Rites Held For D. Allerding
Donald Allerding, age 78, of 14420 Jackson Road, Lake Odessa, died Thursday 
evening at his home. He was born in Carlton Township, December 29, 1899, the 
son of William and Emma (Waite) Allerding.

Mr. Allerding attended Brown School and married Hazel Anspaugh in 1925. She 
preceded him in death in 1928. He married Ethel Anspaugh in May 1945. She 
preceded him in death February 10, 1970.

He was a lifelong area resident and farmer.

Survivors included; one daughter, Mrs. Earl (Geneva) Wurtele of Nebraska 
City, Nebraska; four sisters, Mrs. Ollie Heffelbower of Grand Ledge, Mrs. 
Hobart (Pearl) Schiably of Grand Rapids, Mrs. Ray (Edith) Neeb of Lake Odessa 
and Mrs. Edith Smelker of Freeport; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services were held Monday afternoon at the Pickens-Koops Funeral Chapel with 
Rev. Arthur Heisler officiating. Burial was in Lakeside Cemetery.
