Daily Standard - Friday, Sept. 2, 1904

The funeral services for Edward Alling, held at the home yesterday afternoon, 
and conducted by Rev. W.B. Taylor, were largely attended. Borden post attended 
in a body, 31 in the ranks, J.H. Laden commander. The bearers were Geo. Corey, 
Jas. Jackson, A.J. Cook, Wm. Sanderson, Thos. Griffith, Frank Kanouse,  with 
Ed. Shattuck as officer of the day. Burial at Highland Park was with G.A.R. 
ritualistic services.
