Last Friday evening Mrs. Harvey Haysmer of the North Side received a message
from Ionia which stated that if she wished to see her mother, Mrs. Edward Alling
of that city, alive she must come at once.  Harvey hurriedly secured a rig and
drove as fast as possible to that city but they arrived there 20 minutes after
she had passed away.  Mrs. Alling had been in poor health for some time past but
her death which was entirely unexpected, was a sad blow to those who knew her. 
Mr. Alling is also in very poor health and Mrs. Haysmer will remain with him for
the present.
