ALLIS APACHE JUNCTION, AZ- David C. Allis, age 77, of 1030 N. Delaware Drive, Lot 24, Apache Junction, AZ 85120, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2017, in Chandler, AZ, after a 12 year battle with cancer. David was born February 18, 1940, in Livingston County, to Clyde W. and Gladys I. (Coats) Allis. He was a 1958 graduate of Howell High School. On March 9 1961, he married Joanne Lamphere in Angola, IN. David retired from the United States Postal Service as a rural letter carrier in 2003, having delivered mail in Pinckney, Hastings, and Subfield. David was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Harold Csontos (and wife, Arlene); sister, Phyllis Kutz (and husband, Stanley); brothers-in-law, Days Warner and Roger Hibbard; niece, Carol Kurtz; and great nephew, James Roher. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Joanne; daughters, J. Kay (Steve) Garvey of Franklin, VA, Dawn (Daivd) Reser of Lake Odessa, and Patti (Brent) Lazenby of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Michelle Miller and daughters, Madison, Jayda, Brooklyn and Sophia, Brian (Jenna) Long, Kristen Garvey, Danielle Long and son, Jack, Shawna (Greg) Schuler, Kelly and Holly Long, Shekinah, Paula, and Allissa Reser, and Gabriela Lazenby. Also surviving are sisters, Marilyn Warner of Lansing, and Audrey Hibbard of Brighton; brothers, Robert Allis of Jackson, and Joseph (Pamala) Allis of Homosassa, FL, along with many nieces, nephew, and cousins. Per his wishes, there will be no memorial services held for David, and his body has been donated to science.
