Slocum, on Saturday evening, about 7 o’clock of old age. She was born at Athens, Ohio, May 26, 1816, and was 84 years past at time of death. She was married to Geo. W. Allison, at Athens, and them moved to Independence, Mo., in 1857, where she lost her husband during the war of the Rebellion, in 1862. Three sons and one daughter survive: Henry Allison, Abilene, Texas; C. M. Allison, Chicago; Mrs. Dr. Slocum of this city; and A. J. Allison, of Iola, Kan. The funeral will take place at McConnellsville, Ohio, on Wednesday, Mrs. Slocum and C. M. Allison accompany the remains, which leave here on Tuesday morning.
