Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 23 Apr 1928

The body of S. G. Allured, of Billings, Mont., arrived in Ionia Sunday morning
and a brief service was conducted from the home of his sister, Mrs. J.C. Beattie
at 1:30 by Rev. Alfred Trenerry.  Mr. Allured died in February and the
re-commitment service held at Highland Park cemetery, where the burial took
place Sunday.  Robert Baerd, K. R. Smith, Jr., Charles Stevenson, E.W.
Krainbrink, George Kirsheman and Thane Benedict acted as bearers.  Those from
out of town to attend the funeral services were Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Allured and
John Bucker, of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. G. L. Blackk, Stephen Hall and William
Seeley, of Detroit; Mr. and Mrs. George Smith, of Athens; Mr. and Mrs. H. R.
Cross, and Robert S. Beattie and son, of Grand Rapids; Frank Watkins, of Sparta;
Mrs. William O’Brien, Mrs. Sarah O’Brien and Mrs. William Potter, of Grand
Ledge, and Mrs. Rose Walker, Mrs. Rose Hatch and Erwin Walker and son, of
Greenville.
