Ionia Sentinel Standard, 3 Jan 1939

Funeral services for Duane Keith Almy were held Tuesday at 2:00 at the house 
and at 2:30 at the Collins church.  Rev. Griswold of the LeValley church 
officiated.  The pallbearers were Bobby Jones, Teddy Fisher, Thomas Almy and 
John Miller.

Duane died of pneumonia at 6:15 on Christmas eve at the home of his parents, 
Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Almy at the age of seven months and ten days.

Besides his parents he leaves one brother Gerald, his paternal grandparents, 
Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Almy, his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Riley 
Goodenough, an uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Vern Almy and several cousins, 
great uncles and great aunts.

Interment was made in the Portland cemetery.
