Merl M. Almy, 69, 521 N. State, died Friday at Grand Rapids Osteopathic 
Hospital following a lengthy illness.

He was born in Six Lakes, and he was a retired tool design engineer for Belding 
Tool and Machine Co.

He was a member of Belvidere Methodist Church of Six Lakes.

He married the former Thelma Reeves on Dec. 17, 1932, at Six Lakes.

Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Dr. Doyle (Judy) 
Hoopingarner, D.O., of Rockford, Mrs. Arnold (Sharlene) Liimakka, Alma, and 
Mrs. Joel (Ethel) Johnson, Eva, Ala.; a son, Albert of Orleans; a brother, 
Harris H. Almy of Edmore; and 12 grandchildren.

Memorial services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Shiloh Community Church with the 
Rev. Kenneth D. Harger officiating.  Memorials may be made to the church.
