Funeral services for Mrs. Nellie Almy, 67, slain Saturday night by her 
husband, George O. Almy, will be held from the Orin Stone funeral home on East 
Washington Street Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock.  Burial will be at Keefer 
cemetery.  Mrs. Almy is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Louis Janes, of Orange 
township and Mrs. Lyman Almy of Collins.

Subsequent Publication:  Wednesday, June 25, 1941

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon from the Stone funeral 
home on East Washington street for Mrs. Nellie Almy, 67-year-old woman who was 
slain Saturday evening at her home on North Dexter street.  Services were held 
at 2:00 p.m. and were under the direction of Rev. C. A. Brady of the Church of 
Christ.  Bearers were E. S. Nowland, Bert Reed, Ted Bloomer, Alex Marchbank, 
Leon McQuillan and Albert Martin.  Interment was at Keefer cemetery.

Among those attending the services were Mrs. Inez Penfield and daughter, 
Irene, of Grand Ledge; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Penfield of Lansing, Mrs. Ellis 
Pitch of Portland, Mr. and Mrs. Verne Almy and Doris, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence 
Almy and son, and Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Almy of Collins, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Janes 
of Orange, Mrs. Floyd Janes and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Leifheit of Orange township.
