Ionia Sentinel Standard, 6 Apr 1964

Funeral service for Mrs. Ruby Alspaugh, 78, who died Friday afternoon at Ocala,
Fla., will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Boynton funeral home.  Mrs. Alspaugh had
resided in Battle Creek since 1927 and prior to that was chief telephone
operator for Citizens and Bell telephone company in Ionia.  

She was married to Earl Alspaugh in Ionia in 1913.  He died in 1946.  At the
time of her death, Mrs. Alsbaugh was living with her sister, Mrs. Inez Filer at
Ocala, Fla.

Other survivors include two sons, Gordon Alspaugh of Ionia, and Douglas of
Hartford, Conn.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Officiating will be the Rev. Harold A.Jayne of First Methodist church and
interment will be at Highland Park cemetery.
