Altenburg, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Emma Cook, of Lansing last Saturday evening. She had been in poor health for many months, but was supposed to be improving. She was expected to come home this week, and had made plans for the trip. Mrs. Altenburg is survived by her aged mother, Mrs. Mary L. Morey of this city, a husband, five sons and four daughters. The sons are George Altenburg of Ann Arbor, Quinn Altenburg of Lansing, Jesse, Virgil and Clarence Altenburg of this city. The daughters are: Mrs. Sarah Cottrell living near Ionia, Mrs. Ella Musser of Perrington, Mrs. Emma Cook and Mrs. Addie Hawkins of Lansing. Funeral services were held at the home of her daughter, where Mrs. Altenburg died, Monday. Remains were taken to Northstar for burial. All of the children attended the funeral. Mrs. Altenburg has been a patient and faithful wife and a devoted mother. She was known and liked by all the people of her community and will be greatly missed.
