The Ionia Standard, Friday, June 24, 1910

Mrs. Harriet M. Ames died at home of her niece, Mrs. Lyman Simmons, Orange, at 
12:30 Tues. morning,  She was one of the old residents of Orange, having lived 
in the neighborhood where she died, since 1864.  Her husband died several 
years ago, and she leaves no children.  Funeral services on Thursday, 9:30 at 
the house, 10 at Wesleyan church, fast time.  Interment, Balcom cemetery.
