Ames, the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ames, was born at Ionia on July 9, 1884, and died at the same place on Sept. 15, 1906, at the age of 22 years, 2 mons, and 6 days. Deceased lived a beautiful life, was kind and affectionate to her parents and all about her. While she was a victim of pulmonary disease for four years, which made her a great care to her loved ones, her patience and trust was a constant inspiration and source of great comfort to the family. Miss Pearl was a member of the Disciple church, in which she took delight until deprived of church privileges by sickness. She graduated from the grammar school four years ago, and because of ailing health, suffered to see her class go on, who graduated this spring while she remained. A beautiful life has gone out “The Lord gave and the Lord hath taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.” She leaves a father, mother, sister (Mrs. Lyle Fuller) and other relatives and friends to mourn their loss.
