                            VERA LUCILE AMES

Vera Lucile Ames,87, passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2010. She died peacefully 
under the care of staff at Laurel of Kent in Lowell. Vera was born Jan.25, 1923, 
to Dominic and Thelma Lucile Cuicci, in Hancock. She married Nelson Ames on 
April 16, 1943, in Fort Custer. Nelson preceded her in death on Jan. 19 2001. 

She is survived by two children,Nelson"Skip" and (Laura) Ames of Bandon, Ore., 
and Toni Fisher of Ionia. She also leaves two granddaughters,April and (Brad) 
Peebler of San Mateo, Calif., and Jennifer and (Steve) Shook of Ada: four 
grandchildren, Devon and Autumn Shook, and Charley and Dakota Peebler one 
sister, Vanna Lyons; and two brothers, Bob and Jack Ciucci; and many nieces an 
nephews.

Vera was preceded in death by her parents, brother Paul and sister marjorie.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m Saturday at Lake Funeral Home in 
Ionia with Chaplain Charles D.Lyons officiating.Interment Sunset Memorial 
Gardens.In lieu of flowers you may made memorial contributions to the American 
Cancer Society.
