The funeral services will be conducted by Rev. W. F. Kendrick Tuesday afternoon at the house at 3 o’clock, and the interment will be made in the Highland Park cemetery. Mr. Ammon was born in Germany 62 years ago, and came to the vicinity of Ionia when four years of age. He had lived here since. He was married to Miss Margaret Howe 35 years ago, who with Robert Ammon, of Ionia, and John Ammon, of Holt, brothers, survive him. He also leaves five cousins here, Bertha Woodrick, Frank Ammon, Mrs. Orman Sible, Robert Holtz, and Lizzie Ammon. Subsequent Publication: Wednesday, June 15, 1930 Relatives and acquaintances to a number taxing the capacity of the late residence and overflowing well into the yard attended funeral services Tuesday afternoon for Ernest T. Ammon, prominent Ionia township farmer, who died suddenly early Saturday morning following a heart attack. The services were conducted by Rev. W. F. Kendrick, of the Methodist Episcopal church, and music was rendered by Mrs. Thane Benedict and Mrs. R. A. Colwell. The remains were borne to Highland Park for interment, Godlup Witzel, Burt Weiser, M. Clyde Stout, Jay Van Sickle, Phillip Brennan, and Mark Westbrook serving as bearers. The manifold and beautiful floral offerings were in charge of Mrs. William R. Doran and Mrs. Bert Weiser. Among relatives and friends from out of the city who attended the rites were Mr. and Mrs. John Ammon and children, Clarence, Harry, and Marguerite, and grandson Harold, of Holt; Mrs. Herbert Boshover and son Herbert, Mrs. Gertrude Schlife, Mrs. Gilbert Hanke and children, and Mr. and Mrs. Don Struble, all of Grand Rapids; Mrs. Minnie Beatrice Howe, Mrs. Kate Flemming, Mrs. Robert Boughten, and Thomas Papadopolis, all of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. William Rhen, of Diamondale, and Mr. and Mrs. Russell Ammon, of Flint. The deceased was a native of Germany, but had spent 58 of the 62 years of his lifetime in Ionia County.
