Amphlett was held from the old family residence at 215 High street Monday afternoon at 2:30. Rev. M.L. Fox, a former pastor of the Methodist Episcopal church here, but now of Kalamazoo, had charge of the service and was assisted by Rev. C.J. Kruse. The Women’s Relief Corps, of which Mrs. Amphlett was an active member, attended in a body. A large host of other friends also attended. The bearers were Frank Hauck and C.E. Amphlett, both nephews, of Akron, Ohio, and John and Levi Marshall of this city. The music was furnished by Mrs. John Hodgkins, Jr., and Mrs. Ray Colwell. Those from out of the city to attend the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. E.C. Amphlett and Frank Hauck of Akron, Ohio; Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Gibbs and Mrs. Briggs of Portland.
