Amphlett, which occurred in the waters of Lake Erie on Thursday evening, Aug. 8, at 6:45 o’clock. The young man, with several others, were camping near Waldameer. Deceased was born in this city—on East Front street—in 1883, but did not live here long. At the time of his death he was employed as a book keeper in the Second National bank of Erie, and the Herald speaks of him as “one of the best known and most likable young men in the city.” He was a son of Thomas G.
