Anderson died Tuesday night at his home on East Washington street. Mr. Anderson was formerly in the monument business in Ionia, and two years ago sold out to E. E. Swanson on account of his failing health. Stone cutting for many years he attributed the cause of his condition, and he never overcame his trouble from that time, gradually failing. He came to Ionia some years ago with his brother, and they built up a large monument business under the name of Anderson Bros., his brother however about five years ago retiring and moving to Detroit. Mr. Anderson was an industrious citizen and until illness overcame him was a thrifty progressive citizen. Honest in all his relations with men, he leaves many friends who have regretted much his unfortunate condition. The funeral for Mr. Anderson will be attended from the residence, 612 East Washington street, Friday afternoon at two o’clock. Interment in Highland Park cemetery. Mr. Anderson was 52 years of age. He died at one o’clock this morning.
