Maxine R. Anderson, 65, of Woodland died Sunday at her residence.  She was born
July 15, 1927, in Lake Odessa, the daughter of Leon and Olive Laux Vandecar. 
She attended Woodland Schools.  She married Robert Anderson on February 11, 1950.

She was employed by Hastings Manufacturing for 34 years, retiring in 1987.  She
was a member of the Woodland Eagles and the Thornapple Valley VFW Post 8260 in
Nashville.

She is survived by her husband Robert; five brothers; Maurice of Lansing,
Kenneth of Grand Ledge, Calvin of Rives Junction, Terry of Grayling, and Larry
of Irving, Texas; two sisters Leona Tressler of Coldwater and Sandra Camp of
Milford; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by one
brother, Elton on February 21, 1991.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Koops Funeral Chapel, Lake
Odessa, with the Rev. George Speas officiating.  Burial will be in Woodland
Memorial Park.  The family will be at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
p.m. Tuesday.  A memorial has been established for the Barry Community Hospice,
in care of the funeral home.
