The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, September 6, 1977


John C. Anderson, Jr., 76, of route 1, Hayes road, Muir, died Saturday evening 
at Ionia County Memorial hospital after a lingering illness.  He was born 
January 31, 1901 in Ionia, the son of John and Josephine Anderson.  He 
graduated from Ionia high school with the class of 1919.  Mr. Anderson was 
employed at Hayes-Ionia before moving to the family farm in 1920 where he 
farmed until retiring in 1965.

Survivors include two brothers, William of Muir and George of Grand Rapids; two 
sisters, Mrs. Minnie Lehman of Lake City and Mrs. Margaret Lower of Grand 
Rapids and several nieces and nephews.

Services were Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Hull memorial chapel with Rev. Norman 
Mincemoyer of North Plains Community church officiating.  Burial was in 
Highland Park cemetery.  Bearers were Knight, John and William Kruger, Willis 
Brooks, Myron Brown and Howard Scheffer.
