Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 12 Sep 1970

Mrs. Emily Johnson Anderson, 91, died Friday evening at the home of her
daughter, Mrs. Carol Kennedy of route 1.  She was born November 18, 1878 in
Ionia township the daughter of Peter and Ann Johnson.  January 1, 1906 she was
married in Ionia to Charles Anderson, who died February 7, 1925.  She was a
member of First Presbyterian church.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Carrol Kennedy of Ionia and Mrs. Harold VanZee
of Grand Rapids; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; one brother,
Charles Johnson of Ionia.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 3:30 p.m. at Myers-Roetman Funeral home.
 Rev. Robert McComb of First Presbyterian church will officiate and interment
will be at Highland Park cemetery.  Family will be at the funeral home Saturday
and Sunday, from 7 to 9 p.m.
