Long Illness Fatal to M.T. Anderson

Martin Theodore Anderson died at his home at 106 ˝ S. Pleasant street early
Friday morning.  He had been ill since 1938 with arthritis and a heart ailment
and when Mrs. Anderson returned from the telephone office where she is night
operator, she found that he had passed away.

The couple came to this city four years ago from Flint where he was a mail
carrier and professional ballplayer.  He was born Feb. 13, 1889 at Rock Island,
Ill.  Surviving besides his wife, is a daughter, Mrs. W.H. Berning and three
grandchildren of Ann Arbor, and one brother, Louis of Los Angeles Calif.

Funeral services were held Sunday at 3 o’clock at Fitzjohn’s Funeral Home with
C. Vincent Wright reading the service.  Interment was in Otisco cemetery.
