Anderson, 80, formerly of Belding passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2007. He was born October 9, 1927, in Dearborn the son of Carol and Bertha Koch Anderson, He graduated from Greenville High School in 1945. He served in the U.S. Air force from 1945 to 1947. On November 9, 1957, he married Norma L. Anderson. Cal retired from Federal-Mogul after 20 years. He enjoyed a second career with the US Post Office as a rural carrier and retired as the Orleans, MI, Post Master after 20 years, a job he was very proud of. He also enjoyed working at Rayborn’s True Value Hardware. He served as the American Legion Commander in 1986-1989. He was also a member of the Greenville Masonic Lodge #96. Cal enjoyed farming and hunting with his wife and her family. He was an active member of the Sun City Las Vegas golf maintenance crew during the years his son was director of golf. He was the right hand man of the maintenance crew at Ridgeview Golf Club prior to his move to Nampa. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his daughter, Beth, and sister-in-law, Gladys. He is survived by his sons, Greg and Percy Anderson of Charlotte, their daughters, Amber and Jerry Ponder and Becky Anderson; Phil and Karen Anderson of Greenville, and their children, Bob Anderson, Debbie and Steve Day, and Jason and Christa Anderson; Doug and Cori Anderson of Belding and their children, Zoe and Mason; daughter, Suzie and Howard Rohnert of Nampa, ID, and their children, Christian, Ian and Josh; Greg and Phil’s mother, Carol Baldwin of Greenville; six great grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Dana and Mary Jane Hodges of Belding; Wally and Faye Hodges of Allendale, and Tom Finger of Mesa, Az; and nieces and nephews. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A private memorial service will take place at a later date. To honor Cal’s legacy, memorial contributions may be made to Alvah N. Belding Memorial Children’s Library. Condolences may be made to the family at Alsip & Persons Funeral Chapel, Nampa, ID.
