Anderson, 78, of Greenville passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2006, at Metron of Belding. He was born Jan. 6, 1928, in Cedar Springs, the son of Joseph and Goldie Anderson. He moved to Belding as a youngster and when he was a teenager he worked at the former Fitzjohn Funeral Home in Belding. He was a member of the National Guard and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, first in the infantry and then he worked at graves registration in Japan. He retired from the Michigan Department of Corrections at Riverside Correctional Facility in 1984. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Wilma, on July 23, 1995; sisters, Jane Jensen, Betty Smith, Vivian Arden; and brother, Joe Anderson. He is survived by his son, Mark L. of Greenville; and his sister, Marjorie Taylor of Long Beach, Calif. There will be no services or visitation. Arrangements are by Marshall Funeral Home, Greenville.
