Ionia Sentinel Standard, 17 & 20 Jul 1981

Irving “Slim” Anderson, 77, of 101 Railroad St., Ionia, died Thursday night in
Ionia County Memorial Hospital.  He was born in Keene Township May 31, 1904, the
son of Bruno and Emma Pierson Anderson.  He lived in the Ionia area all his life
and was employed by the late Michael Terkos, the late Fern Corcoran, the Ionia
Sentinel-Standard and other business places in downtown Ionia for many years.

He is survived by one brother, Edwin D. Anderson, of Ionia and one sister, Mrs.
Ethel Moyer, of Ypsilanti.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. from the Leddick Funeral Home. 
Burial will be in Balcom Cemetery.  Friends may visit the funeral home Friday
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services for Irving H.W. “Slim” Anderson, 77, of Ionia were held
Saturday at 1 p.m. from the Leddick Funeral Home, the Rev. Jack M. Van Wieren in
of Ionia Assembly of God officiating, assisted by the Rev. Edna Jean Horn. 
Organist was Mrs. Renate Conrad.  Committal services were held at the funeral
home, with later burial in Balcom Cemetery.
