Of typhoid fever, in Otisco, Mich., Oct., 7th, 1879, Clara, youngest daughter of Reuben and Mary Anderson, aged 15 years, 6 months and 24 days. She had been ailing for two weeks previous to her death, but her friends apprehended no danger until the day of her death, when her father, who was away from home, was sent for, and returned to find his darling child in the cold embrace of death. She was religiously inclined, and possessed a kind and gentle spirit. She said at one time when her mother handed her a cup of water, “Mother, I have everlasting water. “As she passed away she remarked, “I am going home.” The funeral service was conducted by Rev. T. Carveth, of the Free Methodist Church.
