Anderson, 81, 9052 ½ W. Belding Road, Belding, passed away Sunday, April 7, 1996 at her residence. She was born July 1, 1914, the daughter of Frank E. and Ida J. Shumway Mosher. Born on the farm on West M-44, 9052 W. Belding Road, Belding, and lived there most of her life. She attended the Cooks Corners School through the eighth grade and attended Belding High School. She married Carl F. Anderson in 1934. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Frank and Joy Anderson, Jim and Karla Anderson; six grandchildren, Kelly Wickering, Pamela Ostrander, Lisa and Dr. Ty Tvedten, Dale Wilson, Gavin and Daneena Anderson, Ashlin Anderson; five great grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Nancy Mosher of Grand Rapids; one sister, Lida Johnson of Wyoming; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Ida Mosher; four brothers, Harry, Frank, Ira, and LaVern Mosher, and one daughter, Ann Marie Wilson. She was a life member and 50 year member of Doric Chapter 75 of Belding, past president of the Cooks Corner Parents Teachers Organization, past Matron of Doric 75 OES in 1968, 70, 74 and 1975, past president of the Ionia County Federation of Womens Club, past president of the Ionia County OES, charter member of the Belding Gardeneers club, member of the Belding Ladies Literary Club, member of the United Methodist Church, a member of the Alvah N. Belding Library Book Club, President of the Ionia County American Cancer Society as chairman and volunteer services, delegate of American Cancer Society held in Cleveland, Ohio, and New Orleans, La. Her hobbies were playing the organ, home, lawn and garden, and the genealogy of Harrison, Jagger, Mosher, Shumway, and Briggs, which are traced to England and France to the year of 1635. She was also a hospital volunteer at Belding Community and in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Funeral Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Belding, with Pastor Kenneth Harger officiating. Interment will be in Otisco Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ionia County Area Hospice, Belding Historical Society and Alvah N. Belding Library.
