ROY A ANDERSON
Ionia-Roy S. Anderson 79, of 101 Railroad Street, Ionia died Friday evening at Kent
County Community hospital.

He was born November 14,1899 in Grand Rapids the son of Bruno and Emma Pierson 
Anderson. His family later moved to Keene township where he attended rural schools
and worked on the family farm. He started to work for Pere Marquette Railroad in the
1920's and later worked for C & O Railroad retiring in 1966. He was a member of the Ionia
Moose Lodge.

Surviving are two brothers, Edwin Anderson and Irving Anderson, both of Ionia; one
sister Mrs. Ethel Moyer of Ypsilanti.

Funeral services will be 1 pm Tuesday at the Leddick funeral home. Rev. Ronald Sarbo
of the First Assembly of God church will officiate. Burial will be in Balcom cemetery.
The family will be at the funeral home Monday from 7-9 pm to receive friends and
relatives.
