Lake O. Wave, Thursday, September 18, 1975

David Anderson, 23, lifelong resident of Grand Haven, passed away Wednesday, 
Sept. 10, at the North Ottawa Community Hospital following an extended illness. 
He was born June 9, 1952 in Grand Haven. A 1970 graduate of the Grand Haven High 
School, he was vice-president of his class and a member of the varsity football 
team.

David attended Michigan State University and played intramural football and was 
on the Lacrosse squad. He had been accepted at the University of Arizona Race 
Track Management Course and was a member of the Michigan Harness Horseman's 
Association and the United States Trotting Association. He also served as Clerk 
of the Course at Ionia, Lake Odessa,  Ludington, Marshall and Allegan fairs.

Surviving are his parents, Chester and Betty (Johnson) Anderson of Grand Haven; 
two brothers, Randy of Grand Ledge and Bruce of Toledo, Ohio; two sisters, 
Marcia of New York and Abigail at home, and a grandmother, Mrs. R.C. (Marjorie) 
Johnson of Lake Odessa. 

Memorial services were held Sat., Sept. 13 at two p.m. at the Kinkema-Bartels 
Funeral Home at Grand Haven. 

Donations may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society or the Tri-
Cities Educational Fund in Grand Haven.
