The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Saturday, January 2, 1954
Mrs. Josephine A. Anderson, 85, died at her farm home in North Plains township 
at 6 p.m. Thursday, December 31, after a long illness.  She was born in Sweden 
October 20, 1868.  She moved directly to Michigan and for the past 33 years 
has been a resident of North Plains township.  Mrs. Anderson is survived by 
three daughters, Miss Hilda Anderson of Muskegon; Mrs. Everett Bower of Grand 
Rapids and Mrs. John Lehman of Lake City, three sons, George of Grand Rapids, 
John and William at home; and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Shaw-Rivett funeral home 
with the Rev. Court O. Adams officiating.  Burial will be in Highland Park 
cemetery.  The body will repose at the family home until time of the services.

Subsequent Publication:  Monday, January 4, 1954

Funeral services were held Sunday at the Shaw-Rivett funeral home for 
Josephine A. Anderson who died at her home December 31.  The Rev. Court O. 
Adams officiated and music was by Susan White.  Interment was in Highland Park 
cemetery.  Bearers were John Kruger, Earl Nobis, Edward Nobis, and Willis 
Brooks.

Mrs. Wm. Klang, Mr. and Mrs. George Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. Earnest Anderson,

Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Anderson, Mrs. Helen Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. Muchey 
and Edward Welch of Muskegon; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Dast, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin 
Kemps, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Lewis and Mr. and Mrs. Lester Dadd of Lansing; Mr. 
and Mrs. Milton Lower of Detroit; Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Hoffman, Mr. and Mrs. 
Herman Bekker, Mr. and Mrs. John Bekker and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Olson of Grand 
Rapids.
