The Ionia Standard, Friday, May 28, 1897
Saranac.  Mrs. D. W. Anderson, who was stricken with apoplexy about ten days 
ago, died from the effects Tuesday morning.  Mrs. Anderson was a devoted wife 
and mother, a kind neighbor and faithful friend.  To know her was to honor 
her.  She leaves one daughter, Mrs. M. F. Farrington, and one son, E. A. 
Anderson, besides a motherless grandson and several nephews, to whom she has 
been all that  a mother could be.  Her funeral will be held from her late 
residence this afternoon.  Geo. Anderson, wife and child, of Vassar, and 
Albert Anderson and wife, of Grand Rapids, are in Saranac, called here by the 
death of Mrs. D. W. Anderson.
