Anderson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Anderson, 707 Harrison street, died in hospital Thursday night in Loraine, Ohio. Remains are expected to arrive in Ionia Monday on the 4:45 train. Announcement of the funeral will be made later. His father and mother left for Loraine upon notice of his illness, but he died before they arrived there. The remains of Claire D. Anderson were brought to Ionia on Monday afternoon, and burial was on Tuesday, Rev. C.C. Buckner officiating at the service. The Alliance Review and Leader had the following notice of his death: Claire D. Anderson, Pennsylvania railway telegrapher at the FD tower, died at the Alliance city hospital on Thursday evening at six o’clock following an illness of one week from pneumonia. Mr. Anderson was 22 years of age September 6, the parental home being at Ionia, Mich. He came to Alliance about six months ago taking a place as a leverman at the N. tower, Pennsylvania railway, being transferred to the FD tower July 21. he was a talented young man, efficient and courteous in his work and manner, and was held in the highest regard by all who knew him. He was registered in the draft for military service, Class A, and was expecting and anxious to go in his country’s cause and service. Following death the remains were taken to the Sharer undertaking rooms and prepared for burial, being held here pending the arrival of some of his relatives from the Michigan home.
