Eugene G. Anderson, age 71 of Saranac, passed away March 22, 2015, in Grand
Rapids.  He was born July 11, 1943, in Grand Rapids, MI the son of George E. and
Beatrice (Blair) Anderson.  Eugene married Elva Jean Lee June 27, 1964, in
Easton Twp.  He was a supervisor at General Motors for 31 years before retiring
in 1995.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and woodworking.

Eugene is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Elva Jean Anderson of Saranac;
sons, Brian (Amy) Anderson of Jenison and Chris (Susanne) Anderson of Saranac;
grandchildren, Scott Anderson of Saranac, Sydney Benner of Saranac, Samantha
Benner of Saranac, Gabrielle Maniscalco of Jenison and Emily Maniscalco of
Jenison; brother, Fred Anderson of Florida and many nieces and nephews.  He was
preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Barbara Gillette and Arletta
Groves.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, March 26, 2015, at Clarksville
Bible Church with Pastor Tim Bateman officiating.  Interment Saranac Cemetery. 
Visitation will be Wednesday 4-7 p.m. at Lake Funeral Home in Saranac.  Memorial
contributions may be made to Saranac Fire Department First Responders.
