Mrs. Mary Andres, 82, died Sunday, October 2 at her home in Keene Township after
a year’s illness.  She was born April 21, 1878 in Maple Grove Township, Saginaw
County to John and Mary Klein.  She was married June 16, 1901 to John Andres and
came to the home in Keene Township where she lived 59 years.  Mr. Andres died in
1955.  She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Miriam and also the
Altar Society.  

Left to survive her are one daughter, Mrs. Ray Streng of Maple Grove Township. 
One daughter, Mrs. Ferd Breimayer, died in July, 1956.  Others are four sons,
Leo and Leonard, of Ionia, Philip of Saranac, and Joseph at home; two brothers,
Joseph and Peter Klein; one sister, Mrs. Kate Hollerback, Maple Grove Township;
17 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

The Rosary was recited Monday evening at 8:00 p.m. at Huffman Funeral Home.  The
funeral was Tuesday Morning at 10:00 at St. Mary’s Church with Rev. Fr. Steves
officiating and interment was in St. Mary’s cemetery.  Pall bearers were George
Scheid, Gus Laux, Leonard Feuerstein, Ted Houseman, Andrew Breimayer and Charles
Krieger.
