Mrs. Audrienne V. “Audie” Andres, 80, of Ionia passed away Wednesday Jan. 10, 
2001, in Muskegon after a long and happy life.  She was born the daughter of 
Laurence and Cleo (Grove) Hale on Aug. 25, 1920, in Ionia.

She graduated from Ionia High School in 1938 and she attended Mary Grove 
College in Detroit and Hillsdale College.  She worked at the A. C. Spark plug 
factory in Ionia for three and one-half years.

She was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Ionia, a life member of the 
Eastern Star, Queen Esther Chapter and past Worthy Matron.  She married Ernest 
Andres on March 21, 1946, and together they raised two children.  Ernest 
preceded her in death in 1997.  

She loved music and playing the piano.  Her high spiritedness and humor will be 
missed by all who knew her, but especially by her family.

Surviving are: one daughter, Audrienne (William) Lynch, of Ionia; one son, 
Laurence (Judy) Andres, of Ionia; four grandchildren, Meagan (Mike Hazen) 
Andres, Larry and Marc Andres and Maureen Lynch; one sister-in-law, Loretta 
Slowinski, of Ionia; and her cousin, Martha (Edwin) Lindberg of Ann Arbor.

Funeral and committal services will be held  11 a.m. Monday at the Cook Funeral 
Home in Ionia, with Fr. Scott Anderson from St. John’s Episcopal Church 
officiating.  Interment in the Spring at Lyons Cemetery.  Visiting hours are 
Sunday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Rich St. Chapel of 
Cook Funeral Home, Ionia. Memorial contributions can be made to the American 
Red Cross.  Envelopes available at the funeral home.
