Andres died at her farm home Tuesday afternoon at 5:25, near Miriam. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Henige and was born March 30, 1856, in Shelby county, Ohio, and came to Michigan with her parents at the age of seven, spending her childhood days on a farm near Saginaw. She was married to Henry J. Andres at the age of 21 years and came to live on the farm where she died. She also lived in Ionia for 26 years giving the children an opportunity for education. Mr. Andres died 10 years ago this spring. There were 12 children born to this union. Surviving are: Mary A Kniper, of Saginaw county; Peter, Julia Andres, and Nicholas, who live on farms near the old homestead; Henry, of Orland, Cal.; Anne A. Perry, of Ionia; Sister Mary Julia, S. S. J., of Nazareth, Mich., and the youngest daughter, Louise, who lived with her mother at home. There were 36 grandchildren and two great- grandchildren. While living at Ionia Mrs. Andres was a member of SS. Peter and Paul church, and a faithful member of St. Anthony’s guild, Rosary, and St. Joseph societies, and later the Christian Mothers at Miriam. Funeral will be held at 9:30 Friday morning at SS. Peter and Paul’s church, a Solemn High Mass.
