Born in Maple Grove, Saginaw County, December 19, 1889, he had lived most of his life in Keene Township. His parents were Henry and Sarah Andres. Mr. Andres, a veteran of World War I, was a member of St. Mary’s Church, Miriam, and the Holy Name Society. Surviving are five sisters, Mrs. Mary Knieper, Ann Arbor; Miss Julia Andres, Grand Rapids; Sister M. Julia, Pontiac; Miss Louise Andres, Detroit; and Mrs. Anna Perry, Los Angeles; and two brothers, Henry, Orland, California, and Peter, Route 2, Belding. The funeral service was held Saturday, September 7, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, with the Rev. Fr. Jerome Winikaites, of Sand Lake officiating. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery. The rosary was recited at 8:00 p.m. Friday at Huffman Funeral Home. The Rev. Fr. Charles Steves officiated.
