Adam was born Aug. 11, 1971. His parents, Rod and Mary Lou (Pierce) Andres raised him in Ionia, Michigan, where he attended Ionia Public Schools. Following high school, Adam studied for his pilot’s license and attended Davenport University where he earned his paramedics license. He also followed in his dad’s footsteps and sold automobiles for several area dealers. Adam is survived by his wife, Tracie of Wyoming; sons Evan, age 11 and Aidan, age 9; a step-son, David Burch, who is serving in the USAF in Biloxi, MS; his mother, Mary Lou, of Gowen; and Mark Nielsen along with Mark’s children Erica (Bill) Clayton and Chris (Sarah) Nielsen; an aunt and uncle, Carol and Bill Burr of Tennessee; his cousin, Tommy Pilbeam of Tennessee; his father-in-law Dale (Deb) Jernigan and mother-in-law Sherry (Mike) Rice; and special friends, Jamie Nummer, Kevin Reister and Max Ake. Adam was preceded in death by his father Rod Andres, his maternal grandparents, Allen and Lucille Pierce, and his paternal grandparents, Leo and Margaret Andres, and two aunts, Judith Andres and Marsha Andres Edgley. Adam had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed practical jokes. He enjoyed cooking, had a thirst for knowledge and a great appreciation for music and medicine. He earned the nickname “Doc” because many of his friends always took their medical related questions to him for an answer. He loved to fish and hunt, but more than anything in this world, he loved his wife and sons. The family will greet visitors at Verdun Family Funeral Home, 303 S. Bridge St., Belding, Michigan, on Tuesday, April 28, from 6 to 8 p.m., and a Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, April 29, at 4 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to express their sympathy, are welcomed to consider the needs of the family.
