Funeral Mass was celebrated Oct. 30, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Fenton, with Father Mike Depcik celebrant. Interment was in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Hubbardston. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to The Powers Relocation Project and to the Diocese of Lansing, Deaf Ministries. Mrs. Andrew was born June 4, 1933, in Hubbardston, the daughter o the late Thomas and Lillian (Kane) Donahue and attended Michigan School for the Deaf. She married the love of her life, Thurman Andrew, on Feb. 14, 1987, and he preceded her in death on March 21, 1997. Mrs. Andrew retired from University of Michigan Printing Department after 27 years of service. She had been an avid bowler, loved the Detroit Tigers and was so proud of her Irish heritage. She was known by all who met her as a warm, sweet lady who loved her family and being with them more than anything. Surviving are siblings, Agnes McKenna, Raymond Donahue, Patricia Roka (William, Richard Donahue (Joyce); many nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces. She will be especially missed by nephews, Samuel, Patrick (Karen) and Jason Roka (Morgan), and niece Karen Zambiasi (Robert); also great nephews, Evan, Logan, Aiden; newest great-niece, Emery; and most especially by great-nieces, Hannah and Lauren, who brought her great joy. She also survived by her three stepchildren, Tom Andrew (Edie), Lori Kurran (Tom), Judy Andrew (Larry); many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by two infant brothers, Thomas Charles and John Donahue. The family wishes to thank Dr. Carolyn Johnston and staff, the nurses and doctors at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital and Michigan Interpreting Services for all their care and compassion.
