                          CHARLES J. ANDREWS SR.

MUIR-Charles J.Andrews Sr., 79, of Muir, died on Monday.

He was born on September 13, 1912, in Gratiot county, the son of Orville and 
Katherine Morrey Andrews.

He attended schools in Chicago. he was a foreman for the Dearborn Chemical 
Company, Chicago, from 1930 to 1946. He then moved to Muir and worked for the 
Ivan Clark manufacturing Co., Lyons. He also owned and operated Andrew's Variety 
Store in Muir and retired in 1977. He was also a retired employee from TRW of 
Portland.

He was a member of the National association of Power Engineers and the Muir-
Lyons Lions Club.

He married Lillian Voelker, Dec. 7, 1940, in Chicago.

He is survived b his wife; his son Charles Jr. of Lyons; five daughters; Nancy 
Hanline of Ionia, Joyce Wilcox of Lake Odessa, and Deb Marshall Linda Fletcher, 
and Charlene Wolverton of Muir; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was receded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. on Saturday at the Muir Christian Church, 
with the Rev.Kenneth Harger officiating.

Burial will be in Muir Cemetery.

A Memorial has been established for theMuir Christian Church, in care of the 
Hull memorial Chapel.

The family will be at the funeral chapel on Thursday & Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. & 
7 to 9 p.m.
