Ionia Sentinel Standard, 21 Jun 1938

Mrs. Rossie Anslow of Ronald township died at the Ionia hospital Friday morning,
June 21, at 8:15 o’clock, where she had been a patient three weeks.  She had
been in poor health for several years.

She was born July 1, 1873 in Orleans township the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Augustus W. Smith.  February 16, 1892, she was married to Robert E. Anslow, who
survives.  The had lived at her present farm home eight years coming from Nickle
Plate where she and her husband were managers of the store there 27 years.  She
attended the Ionia high school.

Survivors besides the husband are two sons: Dr. Robert E. Anslow of Detroit and
Harold S. Anslow of Ionia; a daughter, Mrs. Cleo Brown of Detroit; four
grandchildren; and four brothers, Ralph Smith of Ionia, ?? Gott of Easton
township, Jessie Smith of Belding and Clayton Smith of Lansing.

Funeral services will be conducted from the Myers funeral home on East Main
street Thursday afternoon, June 23, at 2:30 o’clock.  Interment will be in the
family lot at Woodard Lake cemetery.
