In early life she moved with her parents to Noble Co., Ind., as in 1859 was united in marriage to Hiram H. Anspaugh, who preceded her to the great beyond March 30, 1919. To this union were born ten children, seven sons and three daughters, four departing this life in early childhood and Leo July 20, 1910. Those who remain are: William Darwin of Odessa, Milo H. of Woodland, Herman Henry of Woodland, Absolom J. of Woodland, Odem Jesse of Woodland. Besides the five sons she leaves to mourn their loss one brother. Henry of Indiana, one sister of Kalamazoo, three grand children and two great grand children living in Woodland. In early life our mother, seeing the folly of sin and wishing to live so she could look forward to the great beyond with a bright hope, gave her heart to God and held to her faith to the last. Though our mother has gone and left us. And our hearts do break with pain. Still she leaves that fond hope with us. That we some day may meet again. Funeral services were held at the home Saturday, conducted by Rev. I. H. Mourer, assisted by Rev. V. H. Beardsley. Mother A face all glorified with light That grows more bright as years increase; A calm brow crowned with silvery white, Eyes filled with kindness and peace; Pure love that knows no selfish thought. Refining pain and patient care. Brave words of hope and deeds well wrought Have traced soft lines of beauty there. Not all great deeds that men have done, Not all world's wisdom understood Can match the laurel she has won The wond'rous crown of Mother-hood!
