Resident Here many Years. A well known figure in our town Ode Anspaugh, 57, passed away in an automobile when about to be taken to the local hospital. It seems he was ill on Sunday but on Monday went to the country to look at some cattle. Becoming too sick to do business he asked the farmer to take him to his nephew's home in Woodland. When in Lake Odessa he was so bad the farmer stopped at Dr. Peabody's office and the doctor gave him a stimulant and directed him to be taken to the hospital but before starting the car he was found to have expired. Mr Anspaugh has been a resident of Lake Odessa a good many years. He was a cattle buyer and had had dealings with a good many in this section of the county. The body was taken to the home of a nephew Thurlow Anspaugh in Woodland, where the funeral was held Wednesday afternoon. Besides this nephew he leaves a brother Darwin of Campbell and other relatives.
