Lake Odessa Wave
   JOHN J. ANTHONY PASSES AWAY
  John J. Anthony, 81, passed away suddenly at his home at Jordan Lake, Saturday
afternoon.  A native of Antwerp, Belgium, he came to the Michigan area when 17 years 
old. He retired from the dairy business in Woodbury, Ind., seventeen years ago and 
moved to Lake Odessa where he operated a boat livery until four years ago.
  Surviving are his wife Hazel; a daughter Mrs. Maxine Lennen of Saginaw; a son Jack
of Detroit; three step sons, Richard Harwood of Warren, Leslie and Charles Haywood 
off Lansing; one grandchild and two brothers Carl of Walkerville and Chris in Florida.
  Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1:30 at the Pickens Funeral chapel.  Rev.
Wilbur Williams officiated with burial in Lakeside cemetery.
