MAN NOTED FOR KINDNESS IN HIS HOME. RESPECTED BY ALL ------------- Not alone in his home, but in the business activities of the village, Leonard Anway was a man beloved and respected. Consequently when the news came Monday morning that he had died that morning in the Grand Rapids hospital, man after man said, "That is too bad." Every one seemed to deeply regret his early departure. In his dealings at the garage he was just and fair and on the mail route his patrons greatly appreciated his kindness and courtesy. He was especially noted for his kindness in his family where the little family were devoted to each other. The last reports from him previous to the fatal one were encouraging and although his condition was so very serious, his many friends lived in hopes of his recovery. The funeral was very largely attended at him home Wednesday afternoon, Rev. A. H. Lash of the Congregational church giving the address. A quartette consisting of Messrs. Geo. Kart, S. W. Dann, L. T. Gilson and Merlin Morgan accompanied by Mrs. Gilson, furnished the music. Friends from out of town in attendance at the funeral were Bert Anyway and family of Williamston; Roy Hulliberger and family and Mr. and Mrs. E. C.
