Glendon L. Archer, 81 of Lake Odessa, passed away Saturday, Nov. 28, 1998, at 
his residence.

He was born on Sept. 12, 1917, in Lake Odessa, the son of Daniel and Alice 
(Kauffman) Archer.  He married Nona R. Cooper on Dec. 18, 1940, in Lyons.  He 
was a volunteer fireman for the Lake Odessa Fire Department.

Surviving are his wife, Nona Archer; three sisters, Geneva Dryer of Hastings, 
Genevieve Bowerman of Lake Odessa, Alice Nimo of Ohio; one brother, Tom Archer 
of Florida; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Keith, Ivan, Charles and Wayne Archer.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Koops Funeral Chapel, Lake 
Odessa, with the Rev. Tom Swedberg officiating.  Interment will be in Lakeside 
Cemetery.  Visitation will be today, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., at the 
funeral home, 935 Fourth Avenue.  Memorials may be made to the Ionia County 
Hospice.
