Ionia Sentinel Standard, 22 Jul 1985

Mae E. Armour, 95, of 924Third Avenue, Lake Odessa, died Tuesday at Provincial
House in Hastings.  Born June 6, 1890, in Berlin Township, she was the daughter
of Henry and Sarah Youngs Philo.  After attending Hart School, she married Fay
Armour in March, 1920 in Lowell.  She was employed in Lake Odessa at the hotel,
variety store and the drug store for several years.

Surviving her are a niece, Jane Kearanen; five nephews, Clare, Jack and William
McCarty, Harold and Clarence Philo; her sister-in-law, Mabel Burleigh of Ionia;
and a friend, Genevieve Shellenbarger.

Funeral services were held Friday at 1 p.m. at the Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake
Odessa, with intimate burial in Lakeside Cemetery.
