Ionia Sentinel – 1 November 1967
A Lansing resident, Mrs. Hattie Armstrong, 90, died Tuesday at Ionia County 
Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient the past six days.  Born 
December 24, 1876 she was the daughter of Daniel and Alice DeWaters.  She was 
a member of South Baptist church in Lansing and a widow of Aaron Armstrong.  
Surviving are a daughter Mrs. Clarence Haynes of Detroit, four sons, Cecil J. 
of Houghton Lake, Harry of Lansing, Carl of Harrison and Richard of Muir; and 
a brother Frank DeWaters of Shaftsburg.

Funeral services will be Friday at 2:30 pm at South Baptist church in Lansing 
with Rev Howard Sugden officiating.  Interment will be in Mt. Hope cemetery.  
Body will be at Gorsline-Runciman funeral home at 900 East Michigan, Lansing 
until 1 pm Friday.
